Is this a death, or a new life?

We were wicked, we were graceful. We were mortal. We were even gods, but that is all in the past.
Our chapter has closed.
We have reached our end.
Now we witness worlds cascade around us.
We know where we must go.
The realm of our dreams.
The fantastic visage in the sky.
We must go to the distant light.
The sundered ruin that once was our home can no longer contain our souls
With fire and blood we made our names known, now we leave our primordial throne

Fire, Fury, Raging anger.
Fetid, ruined, old and broken.
Saviors savaged, wilted banners.
I once walked among you,
Now I serve the darkness.
I am broken and in chains.
Once I was pure and mighty,
Now I am corrupt and rotten.
Visions of malice haunt my dreams.
I am death and ruin.
I feel only ire.
I want total destruction.
I am living hatred.
I have become terror.
Why can't this nightmare end for me?
The heavens have awakened.
My masters pull at my chains.
Save my wretched mangled form.
Sorrow, pain, and torture.
My life was stolen.
My kin, please come to cleanse my soul.
Darkness dimmed my spirit.
Left to evil wishes.
Corrupted at my core.
Save me from the eldritch
forces that will take me
to the dark and blackened void.
It came with no warning.
Voices singing to me.
They enslaved my spirit.
I wait for redemption.
Weary from years of thralldom.
